Bulk image metadata remover.
Clean a whole set of photos before you publish or share them. See at a glance which ones reveal a location, remove the metadata from all of them, and download verified copies as one ZIP.
Cleaned photos are read back and compared before download. The picture itself is not re-encoded.
When to use it
Before publishing a set of photos
Product shots, property listings, event galleries and holiday albums often carry the exact place they were taken, the phone or camera serial number and the time. Cleaning the whole set takes one step, and the location filter shows which photos were affected.
Configure once
One selection for every photo
Remove everything, only private data, or a custom selection such as the location and serial numbers, while keeping copyright and camera settings. The choice applies to the whole batch, the summary counts the photos each category appears in, and every result is verified field by field.

FAQ
Bulk metadata questions.
How do I remove GPS location from many photos at once?
Add the photos or a whole folder. Each one is scanned and photos with location data are marked GPS; use the With location filter to see them. Choose Remove metadata, then download the cleaned files individually or as one ZIP, with the original folder structure.
Can I choose what to remove for the whole batch?
Yes. Choose the removal mode and, with Custom selection, the categories and fields once; the same selection applies to every photo. The panel shows how many files contain each category, and each photo's details show what will be removed and kept. Files that contain none of the selected data are left unchanged and marked No matching data.
Can I remove only some metadata and keep the rest?
Yes. Choose Custom selection, then tick whole categories, such as GPS & location or Dates & times, or individual fields, such as the camera serial number. Everything you do not tick stays in the file unchanged, and the result is checked to confirm that. For example, you can remove the location and keep the copyright and camera settings.
What is the difference between Remove all, Remove private data and Custom selection?
Remove all deletes every kind of metadata except what is needed to display the picture (colour profile, orientation, transparency and animation). Remove private data deletes location, device identity and serial numbers, dates, software, XMP and IPTC, but keeps the artist, copyright and camera settings in EXIF. Custom selection lets you decide category by category and field by field.
Which formats support removing individual fields?
JPG, PNG and WebP. EXIF fields (location, camera, dates, settings and so on) can be removed one by one, PNG text entries one keyword at a time, and comments, previews and other blocks one kind at a time. XMP and IPTC can only be removed as a whole packet. HEIC photos cannot keep any metadata here: cleaning converts them to JPG and removes everything.
Why can some metadata not be kept on its own?
Some data depends on its exact position in the file. Camera maker notes, for example, contain internal pointers that break when the EXIF block is rewritten, so they cannot be kept if you remove another EXIF field. XMP and IPTC are stored as single packets. The tool tells you before cleaning and asks you to confirm, or to change your selection; it never removes more than you chose without asking.
Can metadata I keep still identify me?
Yes. A copyright notice or artist name is personal information, and camera or lens models, maker notes and dates can help link photos to a person or device. Keep only what you need, and remember that the picture itself and its file name can also reveal information.
How do I know the metadata is really gone?
Every cleaned file is read back before it is offered: its structure is checked, an independent metadata parser looks for anything that should have been removed (and, with a custom selection, confirms what you kept is still there and unchanged), the image data is compared byte for byte, and the picture is decoded and compared pixel by pixel. If any check fails, no file is offered for that image.
Does it change image quality?
No for JPG, PNG and WebP: only the metadata is removed and the image data is copied unchanged. HEIC photos are the exception: they can be cleaned only by converting them to JPG at high quality, and only if you choose that option. Converted photos keep no metadata in any mode.
How many photos can I clean at once?
Up to 100 per batch on a computer and 30 on phones and low-memory devices. Photos are scanned two at a time and cleaned one or two at a time, so large batches do not overload the browser. A failure in one photo does not stop the others.
Can I clean a whole folder?
Yes, in browsers with folder selection, such as Chrome and Edge on a computer, using Choose folder or by dragging a folder onto the page. The ZIP keeps the same sub-folders. On phones, select the photos instead.
Is the picture completely private afterwards?
No tool can promise that. Removing metadata deletes the hidden information stored in the file, but the picture can still show faces, places, signs or documents, and the file name stays the same.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Scanning and cleaning happen in your browser on your device. Your photos, their metadata and their GPS coordinates are not sent anywhere.
